I previously had my SHIELD going straight into my TV, and that was causing problems. I've since added a soundbar, which the SHIELD TV connects directly to and I'm still having audio dropouts, both in just regular audio playing via the Tidal or Plex apps, or from streaming TV via the Amazon Prime, Netflix and Plex apps. It's really frustrating.

The audio dropout is not repeated when watching live TV and I rewind the show back to the point of the original dropout, which leads me to believe this is an Onkyo receiver problem. I have not tried this on a recorded show yet, but I would bet I get the same results. I will try the optical audio path and see if it changes.
