I've read the U2711 has an audio out port (3.5mm) on it. So I'm guessing I could connect a TV Blu-Ray player through HDMI to the monitor, and just plug in the jack on my Logitech speakers to the monitor for audio. I've been trying to connect the HDMI out to my Dell U2711 LCD monitor and get audio through it. U2711 has audio pass through which output audio in form of aux 3.5mm. I can't seem to get any audio output using this method. I tried SPDIF optical directly to my speaker and that works. My speaker set is a Logitech Z-5500.
