Yes. Audio is working correctly in the guest OS where the device is set to: Unknown Volume Control 1 (Sun Audio Mixer) I want to add one more bit of information. In the same laptop I have a Window XP Pro SP3 partition with VitualBox 2.1.4 I can startup the same ubuntu 8.10 image and have no problem with the sound in that case. Thanks. Paolo

I skipped the 8.04 because of it's lots of bugs, but it seems that 8.10 still have some of them...
