The default "sound" hardware settings don't recognise that it exists, and pavucontrol knows something should be there, but thinks that it's HDMI, and also unplugged. In windows, the monitor can still be used as an audio device, but in Ubuntu it's lost that ability. Video works fine on all 4 monitors, just no sound from the monitor speakers.

Hello! I have problems to get Audio through displayport over e-port plus PD02X. I have a Dell Latitude E7240 Notebook on the docking station e-port plus with Ubuntu 16.10 installed. Audio is supported through HDMI on Notebook but not on displayport over docking station. In Windows it is working correctly but i can't get it working on Ubuntu Linux.
