do not mistake the audio chip for the voltage regulator which only has 8 pins, and is mounted to the same aluminum wall. the audio chip is the one closer to the back of the radio. pin 1 is the closest to the front, and pin 10 is closest to the back. describe the answers to my questions with as much detail as possible.

Also when using these mic's, it's not a bad idea to drill a bit larger hole where the mic is as stock the hole is very small and makes the audio sound a bit muffled. I used a 3/16" drill bit and opened the mic hole up and used this mic with a uniden 980 and have gotten great audio reports. Clean and clear.
