I track everything through my UA 2-610. It has legendary tone. It makes everything I track sound a million times better. Nothing ever sounds harsh. It smooths out harsh sounding guitar amps and shrill vocals. It makes a bass guitar sound absolutely massive. Horns and Strings sound incredible.

It is easy to get a quick good sound from this, and you can further shape your sound with EQ that has smart frequency choices and is clean as well. The 2-610 contains two high quality preamps, and is definitley backed up by the sound. OVERALL OPINION I've been using the Universal Audio 2-610 mic preamp for about a year.

The 2- 610 specs out +/- 1 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, but there's something going on in here that's a bit magic that goes beyond just specs. Whatever it is, I like it a lot. The 2-610 looks cool too, with it's big knobs, heavy duty toggle switches, Fender style lamps and retro styling.
