Then I learned that the Nex7 doesn't support it. A couple of things you should know; First, the nexus 7 does output digital audio through USB but last I checked it required rooting and installing a different kernel and ROM. I have not looked into it in a few months so maybe there is something better now. If you find a better way let me know.
