    If you choose "Solaris Audio" as the backend, there is no support for "PCM_in" and "PCM_mic". With a relatively modern OpenSolaris (sound architecture called Boomer) you should be able to choose "OSS" backend which has support for audio input as well and is the recommended backend for audio.

    I'm running VirtualBox 1.5.4 on Mandriva Linux 2008.0 I have sound working in media players and such on the host while vbox is running but no sound from the guest. I'd like to have sound from both the guest and host if possible. I'm not too sure how to check the config. I have tried oss, alsa, null and pulse and still no sound.
