Surroud nworked fien in XP but when I went to Vista it was all stereo, which was because they removed idr what it is but this audio thign in vista. I do, I can not get 5.1 sound to work - either DD or DTS. What is really weird is that Vista's 5.1 speaker tests in the Sound CP work fine, but actual media files do not. All I get is stereo sound - actually I believe I'm only getting the front L and R sound out of the 5.1 because the voice track is muffled in the background.

Hi, I have windows vista 64 bit SP1. My sound card is an integrated Realtek HD 5.1. Picked up the Logitech x-540 speaker system yesterday and installed them today. While doing the test. I can not get the front 2 speakers to work as the front L/R speakers. They will only work under 7.1 as the Surround sound side speakers.
