    The "MP" in "VMPS" means "minimum phase". All drivers are electrically in phase, and first order networks perserve the phase coherency of the envelope. Common practice is to wire the drivers in a multiway system alternatively out of phase, to maintain good amplitude linearity through the crossover region.

    VMPS was in the same area as PBN, and I get the same exact feeling from PBN that people here have mentioned - poor driver integration in the near field; to the point that certain sounds are obviously coming from specific drivers.
