Hi, I have sucessfully installed Windows 95 in VMWare in my Windows 7 host. Sound and every thing plays well (I can plaay audio files) but I can't hear audio cds (although the CD seems to be playing). I need to hear the CDAudio data of my game (Incubation). It seems that I need to plug a cable from my cdrom device to my sound card.

Can't play audio CD's in VMWare. I guess this shouldn't be too surprising since I'm currently using VMWare Workstation 15 rather than an actual Windows 98 computer (though I plan on grabbing one at some point). For what it's worth, and for the record, I've just installed the SB sound drivers to my VM running Windows 98 SE in VMware Player. The driver set that works has filename SBPCTAudioSetup_W9x.ZIP and comprised of SPCTAUDIOSetupus.exe & SPCTW9X.LIB (date 11/02/2001). Audio had been the only thing I missed in this VM, and now it works a treat.
