And yes, Windows Audio service is running on the VM and host. Nothing is helping so far. I'm going to try VMWare and see if I can get sound there. BTW: for any Microsoft guys, the reason I (and many others) need Sound when remoting into a WinServ 2008 machine is really quite simple - training!
