When I play something from the Nflix app, that says DD+, thats what my AVR receives when it begins playing even though the PS3 is set to LPCM. Thats very odd.

My PS3 is connected to my TV by HDMI then optical out to my soundbar. If I run my PS3 HDMI to the soundbar it works fine. Looks like my TV won't pass the PCM bitstream through to the optical out but works fine for other bitstream formats.
