The audio part is where it's getting tricky. The Wii U's only multichannel output is LPCM via HDMI, no optical, no Dolby etc. I'm already using the Clux 11SA, which supports multichannel audio input via HDMI and LPCM multichannel audio output via analog out and HDMI out. I'm currently using it to get surround on my Logitech 5.1 speaker system.
