January 30 · I have a pair of custom built TL loudspeakers that were also designed by Wilmslow Audio. They incorporate a 10" Volt woofer, ATC dome midrange and Scanspeak tweeter. The end result was very impressive. Sound quality is quite amazing and the cabinets are extremely well made and were even stained to a specific shade of my choice.

Product review by Shaun Kilminster: added Monday 10 May 2010 The Prestige speaker sold by Wilmslow is truly excellent. I run them with a Chord 1200 Amp, Marantz CD94 re-clocked+ Blackgate capacitors and a passive transformer volume control and it outperforms 15K studio PMCs (played with bi-amped 1200 chords).

I own a pair of TL-15 by Wilmslow, 200 litre transmission line cabinet with 15" volt radial bass drivers Atc 75 150 mid range and high-end scanspeak tweeters, paired with Hypex UCD 400 amps and Mytek 96 DAC. IT sounds phenomenal! They are very flat full range and smooth sound with a very solid but non hyped full range bass response.

I got thinking about the Wilmslow Audio WA HB1 and HB2 speakers. (Available as kits or completed builds.) They are, apparently, very faithful versions of the original Heybrook designs even using the original drive units where possible. The HB1s passed me by 1st time around (I was probably using AR18s at the time).
