The issue is with the motherboard. There is a connection from motherboard to the audio jack in the front panel. The audio jack on the rear side doesn’t need any connection like that. However, I do not need to install any drivers in Win7 (it detects and starts installing drivers on its own). It never detects the front headphone/microphones.
