Click the Recording tab then Right Click the Sterio Mix Realtek HD Audio Icon. Go to Properties then click the Listen Tab. Check the Box - Listen to this Device and make it your Default Playback Device. Advanced Tab check both boxes allow control and give priority. This worked for my win 7 after reinstall and a few more white hairs.
