I recently installed a new version of windows 8.1 and updated all my XPS 17 drivers. There was no update for the Soundblaster X-FI MB, but I updated the standard Realtek HD audio driver. Then when I configure my system so that the soundblaster is being used in 5.1 surround, it no longer works like it did in windows 7.
