I too have this problem. WinDVD 5 used to work prior to full Win XP reinstall. Tried PowerDVD (for comparison) first, which worked fine, but decided I liked WINDVD better. Uninstalled PowerDVD, reinstalled WinDVD, but now no audio. Audio works on everything else (and worked in PowerDVD).
