Funny thing is I was getting sound out of WMP 11 for mp3s, but not for sound from my DVD player. I went into "Sound" from control panel and sure enough, the default was set to "Digital Audio Interface". When I set "Speakers" to be the defaul, the DVD sound started working, and the mp3 sound still works. I appreciate the help! Terry
