If you want a warm, bloom tube sound the GES would be a better candidate. The Stax amps will always be slightly analytical, fast and lean no matter how you tuberoll them. Throw in some Telefunken ECC83's in the GES and have Woo install some nice colored caps like the Jupiter's or some NOS paper/oils and you'll be in bloom heaven.

I use Woo Ges with STAX L300 LE for 5 month for like 12 hours a day. I work with them on, then I play XBOX after work till midnight. Have not had a single issue yet. I keep the volume at 12 o'clock which is pretty much the perfect volume for me when I listen to music and want it loud enough.
