There only seems to be one card atm that is directly compatible with front audio ports, the X-FI Xtreme Gamer, and even then, it's only specifically Intel HD Audio (codenamed Azalia) spec, not AC97. There's info at http://www.formfactors.org/developer\specs\A2928604-005.pdf but to condense it down, page 20 and 25 give a visual difference.

The way I understand it, the FP audio header on the motherboard only functions with the on-board audio and as of ZS2 there is no case front panel audio connection on the cards. However there is a proprietary connection you make an adapter for. It would allow you to connect the cable for FP audio directly to your X-Fi.
