XBMC 11 with HD audio issues....slow motion, no sound
https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=129509
On my system only files that have HD audio over HDMI cause this. If i switch XBMC to SPDIF mode (while still connected physically via HDMI) it works fine and my receiver plays the DTS-HD stream. Its been an issue in the nightlys for almost all of August, hopefully they will have it fixed soon, I imagine they are aware of the problem.
No audio on Xbian connected to an AV receiver via HDMI ...
https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/14764/no-audio-on-xbian-connected-to-an-av-receiver-via-hdmi
The Raspberry Pi (Xbian and XBMC again) is now connected to the AV Receiver through the "HDMI In" input, and the AV Receiver "HDMI Out" goes to a 720p projector. Although the video works, there's no audio anywhere. I've tried to apply previous solutions, such as this one in which the config.txt should have the following lines.

With overclocking controls (much like yuo might get on android) and XBMC booting by default for the professional look =D. Anyway, I haven't been able to get any sound out of the HDMI. I know that sound output can work (on a different OS, like raspbian). Also, i noticed that the HDMI control (ie using TV remote to control it) doesn't work.
No sound in XBMC over HDMI w/ 12.1
https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/472386-No-sound-in-XBMC-over-HDMI-w-12-1
I know this is an XBMC issue and the conventional wisdom is to address those in the XBMC fora or with a Google search but I've had no luck either way. Hopefully some fellow openSUSE user can help. After a long struggle I finally got sound to work over my HDMI connection with 11.4. Now I'm using 12.1 and it took even longer to get it working again but …
Solving the 2-second sound delay with XBMC and HDMI
https://www.tolaris.com/2011/07/03/solving-the-2-second-sound-delay-with-xbmc-and-hdmi/
On my HTPC, XBMC outputs sound over HDMI to a Panasonic TX-37LZD70 TV. This works great in most respects. However, there is a 2-second delay between when XBMC starts playing audio (music or video with sound), and when it actually outputs from the TV speakers. The sound is in sync with the video; it just takes 2 seconds to start.
