Now if you go to Settings > General > Volume & Audio Output > Speaker Audio and try to enable the Atmos you were just using the Xbox tells you your receiver doesn't support Atmos. Set the audio on the LG back to auto and now you can suddenly enable atmos just fine with a nice big audio delay.

You should have all video and audio processing turned off in your TV settings. If you set your receiver up correctly it will have been set to account for this lag and its why it may appear to have disappeared. All that being said i don't know how the console deals with audio, it could be shoddy programming in the OS causing the lag.

I am getting audio lag whether going HDMI direct into my TV (with pass-through to receiver via Toslink) as well as direct Toslink from Xbox to Receiver. The lag exists for games and blue-ray player.
