Muted track? Muted master audio? Do you have a silent audio stream in the rendered video or not audio stream at all? I imported XDCAM footage that I transcoded on either my MBP or my old G5 tower (as opposed to the new iMac) and none of that footage has the drifting issue. I tried three different XDCAM clips, one as long as 2 hrs 15 min. No audio drift. They all were fine when imported into the same project I'm currently working with the problem clip.

Re: Xdcam audio. Nice suggestion! simple fix - delete the audio after import then modify - unlink - then remove the audio tracks and relink. this can be done with multiple clips at once. I'm working with XDCAM EX footage, editing natively. I'm working with Mac OS 10.7.4, 2010 Mac Pro, NVIDIA QUADRO 4000. When I play my there are tearing artifacts across many of the clips, and there weren't any in the CS 5.5.2 version. I opened the project in CS 5.5.2 and the same sequence plays fine.
