Or, at least, the Dolby Digital data is prevented from entering my SHARP TV directly over the HDMI interface. However, since the XG1 box has a separate digital optical audio output I can use that to successfully connect my system. You may want to forward this message to the Xfinity Engineering Department. By going into the DVR's advanced settings (dvr off, hit menu) I set the additional HDMI settings for audio output to L-PCM from Auto (auto seemed to work too though). The Comcast Audio setup is siet to Audio Output: Advanced, Compression Light, Stereo Matrix, Optimal Stereo Yes. Good luck, let's hope FiOS comes soon!
