Whenever you use front-panel audio jacks, you always introduce another element in the mix that can screw up your signal path. It doesn't matter how nice your case is (Antec 900 is a great case btw), you always risk introducing noise to your clean audio signal. It's good practice to NOT use front panel jacks in general.

I remember finding this with my case, but the front panel box had been rubberised(or similar), I ended up getting a 3.5mm splitter and doing a passthrough to replace the normal front panel audio with the back. Antec need to sort this out, I can't see myself buying another antec case unless this get fixed.
