I'm running on SoundMAX speakers and I haven't had this problem before up until now. I have restarted my laptop two or three times now already. I've also tried headphones but I cannot hear anything with them either. No sign of any sound whatsoever. Same problem. Just started after replacing new HD and SP3 new install. I'm figuring my drivers are not setup the way they were originally or SP3, but I think I had SP3 for awhile on my old hard drive without this problem.

Going through device manager yields 'Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus' with a yellow exclamation point and a code 28. Trying to install updated sound drives prove fruitless. Another piece of info that MIGHT help is 'Soundmax failed to load properly, you may need to reinstall soundmax' upon startup.
