Zapco makes a quality amp, but they do it at a very reasonable price. Soundstream made quality amps before they went under and were bought out by some cheapo electronics conglomerate. Audison and McIntosh make great amps, but at a much higher price than the Zapco ref series.

The Zapco Z200c2-SL is one of the best sounding amps. Excelent quaility with no hint of distortion even with the gains almost all the way up playing at loud volumes. Deffinately one of the best mid/high amp you can buy. Also a very good sub amp if using one 10 or 2 8's for sound quaility. [May 12, 1999] Byron an Audiophile

The price point is really attractive, at only $600 it’s a good deal for a Zapco amp, let alone a 6 channel amp with DSP.
