Zaph|Audio Well Zaph tested them, FR looks pretty behaved. Harmonic distortion is very good in the midbass/lower midrange. Low Q... needs an enclosure. Price/performance ratio is great. Just as with every other 6,5" driver the lowpass will be limited to the upper end dispersion, which is about 2-2,5kHz.

The model of the silver flute is W17rc38-08 the 6.5 inch woofers. I built a floor standing box with it being rear ported and I put a sand trap on the top and bottom of the box very heavy for a little floor standing box. I will tell you this these drivers are very, very good. They are warm sounding and very natural for what I can remeber.

Re: Silver Flute vs. Dayton Midrange Opinions? i am using the 5.5 silverflute in a three-way with the rs225 and north tweeter. i have the speakers on a box with the x-overs together with jumpers. the rs is very quiet without a enclousure but the sf and north sound very nice.
