The new Zu's manage to keep that beautiful tone and dynamics, which gives the speakers that lively and engaging sound. I run mine with Coincident Franks 300b amps using the 16 ohm taps in a fairly large room and they fill the room easily to loud levels.

The Druid soundstage was behind the plane of the speakers, which gives a sense of a much larger soundstage. This is particularly desirable if you listen in a small room. The Druid V is remarkably efficient -- it can make a big sound without a lot of power -- so I auditioned it with a bunch of amps, including an 8-watt-per-channel Woo Audio 234, 40-watt NAD C...

I figured that because both speakers have high-sensitivity, 10" paper-cone woofers, they'd probably put about the same amount of bass energy into my smallish room. I was right—the Zus sounded good right away. (Zu Audio gives every pair …

They are missing resolution, imaging, and depth—well, to you, I'll say this: the Zu sound of 2014 is most certainly far more high-fidelity than anything you may have heard or read on some forum. To these ears, that equation is simply not there.
